Exam Week Support at HPULibraries

It’s that time of year again… EXAM WEEK! But don’t worry, HPU Libraries has got your back!

Come to either Smith Library or the UC Learning Commons to study, finish final projects, and get reference help. Please remember to be especially quiet in the library throughout this week. Both locations are open 24/7 for the entire week.

If you’d like a large space for group study or to practice presentations, you can reserve one of the lecture rooms in Smith. Just email media@highpoint.edu.

If you need some extra help with research, come to one of our research sessions in the UC Learning Commons on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 9pm-11pm. Or, you can make schedule an appointment by sending an email to reference@highpoint.edu. No question is too big or small! Just Ask Us! Check out our Ask Us page to see all the ways (over 10!) that you can contact the library.

Good luck this week! And we look forward to seeing all of you!

The Great Gatsby Book Club

Join us for another HPU Libraries Book Club! This time, we’re delving into The Great Gatsby. A tale of ostentatious wealth, scandalous love, and a whole lot of hardcore partying, F. Scott Fitzgerald’s novel exposes the lives of the rich eccentric Jay Gatsby, bemused salesman Nick Carraway, and the aloof, yet alluring Daisy Buchanan. A new film based on the book, starring  Leonardo DiCaprio and Isla Fisher, is coming out in May, so we’re giving you the opportunity to read the book first! Enjoy tea and snacks while you discuss this exciting story with fellow literature lovers. The Great Gatsby Book Club is on April 10th, from 4pm-5pm, in the UC Learning Commons group study room.

We have multiple copies of the book to check out, just stop by Smith Library or the UC Learning Commons to pick one up!

View them in the catalog here:
