High Point University provides many computer labs for the use of the students. The use of computers is an integral part of the success of the High Point student. The computers in the labs contain many titles of software. The type of software contained on the machine is dependent on the type of lab.
| General Use Labs
The General Use labs are not reserved for classes, but are accessible for any HPU student to access the internet, email, etc... Many computer programs used for certain classes can also be located in a General Use Lab.
Special Purpose Labs
The Special Purpose labs are dedicated for classroom use only. Currently there are four Special Purpose labs. Students who use these labs need password accounts available through the Computer Information Systems (CIS) Department. Special Purpose Labs are dedicated to the CIS program.
