Abbott and Fenner Scholarship Program Abbot and Fenner Business Consultants offer a $1,000 scholarship each year to the winner. Eligible applicants are those that are no more than 30 years old and are currently enrolled in any accredited post-secondary institution. Please see their website for more details. AFCEA Scholarship for Working Professionals Scholarship is granted to sophomore, juniors, and seniors attending part-time with at least a 3.0 GPA. Application deadline: September 1, 2010

The Educational Foundation for Women in Accounting Available to women in their third, fourth, or fifth year of academic pursuit who need the financial support to complete their degrees. This 2-year, $2,000 per year scholarship is renewable annually upon satisfactory completion of course requirements. Numerous awards available; Application deadline is April 30th of each year
Federal TEACH Grant Check with your financial aid advisor for more information and additional regulations. --Grant requires four years of teaching to fulfill --Recipient has eight years to fulfill service requirement --If full four years of teaching service are not met, the grant is repayable as a Direct Unsubsidized Loan with interest.

North Carolina Teacher Assistant Scholarship Fund To be eligible for initial TASF consideration in 2009-2010, an individual must: 1) Be a full-time teacher assistant for at least one year at a public or federal school in North Carolina 2) Be a North Carolina resident for tuition purposes 3) Not be in default on a student loan 4) Have at least 3.0 cumulative grade point average (students with higher grade point averages will generally be more competitive and stand a better chance of receiving funding) 5) Enroll in a program leading toward initial teacher licensure at a North Carolina college (see list of qualifying campuses on application). Enrollment through the Internet or other distance education programs is acceptable 6) Enroll in at least six semester hours of coursework at qualifying campuses for each semester in which funds are received 7) Demonstrate financial need according to the financial aid office at your institution. 2010 and 2011 Application information is available through CFNC
